Rumor has it...

Legendary Karl Lagerfeld may be leaving Chanel! Say it ain't so! There has been speculation that he is not renewing his contract with Chanel. He's already 75 and it isn't unreasonable that he's close to retiring.

"Karl Lagerfeld is a German-born fashion designer and artist based in Paris, France. He has collaborated with on a variety of fashion and art related projects, most notably as head designer and creative director for the fashion house Chanel. Lagerfeld helms his own label fashion house, as well as the Italian house Fendi, both of which produce luxury fashion items (including perfumes and accessories)."

Rumor has it that Alber Elbaz of Lanvin will take his place and Oliver Theyskens, former designer for Nina Ricci, will take Elbaz's place at Lanvin. Although Chanel and Lanvin has denied these rumors, there may be a morsel of truth to it according to Style.com's Derek Blasberg. He recently twittered from Venice that these rumors just might be true. We will have to wait and see...

Lagerfeld is set to play the voice of Fabu, the villain, in a French-animated TV movie, Totally Spies.
